On this special Grätzltour you will get to know the Wieden from all its sides! Starting point of the tour is the most prominent monument of the district - the Karlskirche!
From there we will continue to Schwarzenbergplatz and then via Plößlgasse to Argentinierstraße, where you can admire the old palaces that are now used as embassies, as well as the ORF broadcasting house. Afterwards we will visit a small part of Favoritenstraße and also go into its importance in connection with the Theresianum. Via the Paulanerkirche and the Wiedner Hauptstraße we then arrive at the Schleifmühlgasse, where until the 20th century stood the Freihaus, at that time the largest apartment building in Vienna! Also on request we can visit the Palais Ehrbar, with one of the oldest still preserved concert halls in Vienna. Among others, Johannes Brahms and Gustav Mahler made music here! The walk is then ended at the U4 station Kettenbrückengasse opposite the famous Naschmarkt.
Duration: 2 1/2 hours (with guided tour of the Ehrbar Hall 3 - 3 1/2 hours)
