Walking along the Wienfluss - a Grätzltour through the 4th, 5th and 6th district

The focus of this special Grätzl walk is the area around the Vienna River in the districts of Wieden, Margareten and Mariahilf.

However, it is not only topics such as the city railroad or the Vienna River regulation that are in the foreground, but also the stories that the buildings around this historic area tell. From the medieval beginnings of the places, to the development in the Baroque and Biedermeier periods, to the current importance of the squares - everything is there!

The starting point of the tour is the center of Vienna's 5th district - Margareten Platz. From there, we then take Pilgramgasse to Gumpendorfer Straße and are thus in the middle of the 6th district. Afterwards we will go through some side alleys to the 4th district, where we will end our tour at the subway station Kettenbrückengasse.

Duration of the tour: approx. 2 hours
